Overview and Responsibilities
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cloud and Systems Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing technical support within the team of Systems Administrators and other enterprise teams. Areas of support includes but are not limited to; Cloud Computing support (AWS, Azure, Logicalis, and many other cloud platforms), operating systems support including Windows / Linux virtualized platform support and VMware vSphere/vCenter. Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, operating systems, and application software in support of business processing requirements on both on-premises and cloud platforms. Provide technical support to internal users; support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems within established standards and guidelines; expected to work with management in establishing processes, controls, security, and strategy around system support initiatives. Implement industry and company security standards and policies on all areas of responsibilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision. Responsible to cross train other team members on specific areas of expertise. Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take over other technical areas as needed. Work with the different Rotech IT Teams to design networks, systems, and storage environments that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements to develop a full Hybrid Cloud Solution. Work with management in establishing processes, controls, security, and strategy around system support initiatives. Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on Cloud Services including but not limited to Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Logicalis Cloud. Expected to work independently within management and company guidelines. On-call rotation required. The Candidate will be required to work on Weekends and evenings as necessary.

- 100% REMOTE Work from Home day one of employment; Must live in the US and live within 60 miles of any Rotech
- Installs and maintains operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance.
- Deploy workloads on Cloud and on-premises environments.
- Migration of on premise to cloud workloads.
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures and strategic policies for computer systems and business applications.
- Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
- Responsible for managing Virtual Servers and Storage resources.
- Experience supporting enterprise environments on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a sense of urgency in finding resolutions for problems.
- Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Work with the backup administrator to ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and restore procedures.
- Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoots networking and operating systems problems.
- Incorporate Information Security Best Practices in all aspects of Systems Management.
- Mentoring of other Technical Support staff.
- Identify areas of improvement and the implementation of solutions for such areas
- Training of staff members within and outside the Systems Administration Department
- Works with and understands the roles of members of other departments.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer of system support procedures and nuances.
- Responsible for medium to high complexity business-critical systems
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications

- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years' experience in Microsoft 365(Office365)/Azure Cloud Computing environments administration and management.
- 3+ years' experience with Windows Server system administration.
- Azure Certified Administrator preferred

- GPO administration, AD administration, server hardening.
- AWS administration.
- Basic Linux Server Administration.
- VMware vSphere/vCenter/Horizon administration will be a plus.
- Logicalis Cloud administration will be a plus
- Lift and carry office equipment at times around the office
- Occasionally moves equipment such as a personal computer or display weighing up to 25 pounds
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
- Requires close vision to small print on computer / tablet and or paperwork
