Job Description
We are currently seeking a Windows System Administrator to work remotely on a Federal Healthcare program.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain mid-range operating systems.
- Apply advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Work without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
- Provide top tier troubleshooting for Windows Server Operating System issues and creates and maintains documentation on how to resolve those issues in the future
- Ensure system availability and performance by identifying and addressing performance issues and proactively planning for system upgrades and capacity improvements.
- Execute monthly Microsoft operating system patching to ensure enterprise systems aren’t vulnerable to security vulnerabilities and can take advantage of new features.
- Proactively monitor, maintain, and tune systems (through automation where possible) in an effort to provide maximum uptime
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 5+ years directly related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years directly related experience.
- Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Strong attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
- Time management skills
- Experience with systems administration including Active Directory and Certificate Authority
- Ability to solve problems in stressful situations
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with Active Directory – Manage group policy, users and groups
- Experience managing Certificates for IIS websites
- Experience securing and resolving vulnerabilities
- Experience managing File and Share permissions and SFTP
- Experience in a Microsoft server support role in Windows-based environment
- Experience with creating and updating Group Policy objects
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- MCSA Windows Server 2016 certification
Nice to Haves:
- Ivanti patch management experience• Operations Manager – SCOM experience
- Commvault – Backup and Restores experience
- PowerShell scripting
- Background in deskside support
- Experience with SQL server database maintenance
- Experience with administration in AWS or Azure
Pay Range: $96K - $106K
