Key Role:
Serve as a database analyst to play a pivotal role in our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Analyze database systems essential to data protection and cybersecurity initiatives. Collaborate with diverse team members in database management and data analysis and pay strict attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a database analyst
Experience with performing data analysis tasks, including querying databases, generating reports, and analyzing data sets to extract actionable insights and contributing to decision-making processes by providing data-driven recommendations
Knowledge of database security principles and best practices
Knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of data loss prevention (DLP) and cybersecurity concepts
Ability to pay strict attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or an engineering or technical field
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in contributing data modeling efforts by working with database architects and data modelers to design efficient and effective data structures that align with project requirements
Ability to assist cross-functional teams and stakeholders with implementing database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches
Ability to support database management teams on configurations that ensure data integrity, availability, and performance while adhering to security and compliance standards
Ability to assist with ensuring that databases comply with federal regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies for data protection and cybersecurity and support compliance assessments and audits
Ability to generate and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports based on database data to meet the needs of various stakeholders and ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and relevant
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
