POSITION SUMMARY
This position is the second level of the Application Developer series. Under the supervision of the Application Manager, the Application Developer in this class is responsible for working on new products and services related to power platform and .net, setting up standards, best practices, documenting process and providing technical support to service owner teams regarding their power platform and .net applications. As a member of the Center of Excellence (CoE) team, you will play key role in teaching the County power platform and .net developers to follow industry best practices and bring them up to speed with some of new improvements on both power platform and .net technologies and setup governance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide guidance and share best practices regarding Power Platform application development.
- Enhance current implementation of Microsoft Power Platform CoE and make progress on setting up standards and governance process using CoE toolkit.
- Research and setup CI/CD for Microsoft Power Platform applications.
- Keep up with latest changes on.NET platform and troubleshoot applications with application development team and make recommendations for improvement.
- Learn about upcoming changes on Microsoft Power Platform, document, and knowledge share with application development team.
- Perform Code Reviews and approve PR for code produced by other team members.
- Work in a team-based environment, communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum of three years of programming experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with relational database (SQL Server) design and development.
- Familiarity with cloud development and deployment (Azure).
- Microsoft Power Platform
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of
- Current software development technologies, trends, and methodologies
- Common software engineering design patterns
- Enterprise application development in C#
- Experience with iterative and test-driven development practices
- Agile Methodology
- Azure DevOps
- .NET core and .NET framework.
Skills
- Power Platform applications such as PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Power BI.
- Experience developing or debugging on Power Platform plugins, Custom Workflows, client-side JavaScript, and PCF development.
- Experience with source code control (GIT) and software development on teams based on branching strategy.
- Experience developing in a continuous integration environment using source code control, automated testing and build automation.

- Advanced proficiency in current version of Visual Studio
