Job Description
We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who excels at turning design into functional websites that walk the line of innovative. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
Responsibilities
- Light back-end development
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Intranet/Extranet/Internet website maintenance
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Production code deployments
- CMS implementation such as Umbraco
- Work directly with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate content
- Help Desk Support for Windows and Apple Computers
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Excellent ability to manage timelines and be self-directed
- Master of responsive design methodologies
- Basic experience with code repository systems such as BitBucket, GitHub
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, Bootstrap
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Knowledge of Bootstrap or similar front-end frameworks
- Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
- Proficiency in Open Graph is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud architecture such as Azure or AWS
- Cursory involvement with relational databases such as MSSQL
- SQL as a service is a plus.
- Classic ASP, ASP.net and C# capability to support our upgrade/migration initiatives
- Advanced competency in Visual Studio
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
