SQL Data Analyst II
Job Description
The SQL Data Analyst II role is fully remote (or work from our luxury offices in Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, NYC, Gladstone NJ if preferred).

The primary responsibility of the SQL Data Analyst II is to support our clients through consistent delivery of analytic output files, following standard processes and procedures, and ad hoc analytics dependent on client needs. A successful SQL Data Analyst II is expected to import, clean, and integrate complex healthcare data sets and troubleshoot ETL processes as well as identify areas for process improvement and support improvement initiatives.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Clean and integrate complex healthcare datasets in order to create the data foundation for further analytics, client applications, and the development of key client insights
- Understanding the pharmaceutical industry space and becoming a subject matter expert for our clients and internal teams
- Ensure quality of output by submitting work product for quality checks and reviews and performing similar functions for other Healthcare Data Specialists
- Respond to and fulfill client tickets and requests in a timely manner and with quality
- Contribute to client team meetings for client projects and engagements
- Implement advanced ETL processes to acquire and load large datasets
- Follow, update, and create established procedures and standards as outlined by leadership
- Evaluate appropriateness of data for ad hoc requests and client projects, outlining additional requirements and assumptions as necessary
- Contribute code that is well-documented, logical, and easy to follow
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience with relational databases
- 2 to 5 years industry experience in either data analytics or healthcare
Preferred:
- 3 to 7 years industry experience in either data analytics or healthcare
- Evident proficiency and hands-on experience using Microsoft SQL Server
- Descriptive statistics and/or Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience
- Undergraduate degree with a quantitative focus

- Willingness and capacity to learn about the Pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Experience in SSIS is a plus but not required
