App Developer (must live in metro Baton Rouge)

Job Overview:
Operations Laboratory is recruiting on behalf of Carline Companies. Carline Companies is seeking a talented and experienced App Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a corporate Android application that is primed for commercial release. This position requires a strong understanding of ASP.NET, Azure, and Android development.
Duties:
App Developer:
- Create and extend data schemas using .NET EF 8 and Azure SQL
- Create ad hoc reporting using TSQL and application on-demand reporting using HTML or Telerik
- Work with .NET 8
- Develop Azure Functions
- Develop ASP.NET Administration using Blazor Hybrid
- Create WebAPI
- Work with Xamarin (complete conversion to MAUI)
- Utilize Azure toolsets such as Frontdoor, Application Services, and Azure SQL
- Follow Domain Driven Design and work with Service Desk Plus handled through Azure DevOps
Azure Administrator:
- Monitor database usage
- Maintain B2C site user accounts as needed
- Create and monitor dashboards for system health
Website Administrator:
- Update and improve the existing site to increase user efficiency
- Support basic maintenance of the website and run reports
- Create additional reports for the application based on the existing architecture
- Create PDF reporting module using Telerik
- Install security patches and maintain updates
APK Administrator:
- Use MDM to upload and deploy APKs to Carline / Vessel Tech owned phones for all clients
- Make updates to the APK as needed for security and functionality improvements
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor Hybrid, Azure SQL, and TSQL
- Proficiency in Azure Functions, Telerik, and WebAPI
- Experience with Xamarin and familiarity with the Android/Google development ecosystem
- Knowledge of Azure toolsets such as Frontdoor, Application Services, and Azure SQL
- Experience with Next.js is a plus
- Understanding of DDD-based design and SDP handled through Azure DevOps
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as an Application Developer or similar role
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Additional Information
This position offers the opportunity to work on a corporate application that is primed for commercial release. Long-term support is needed to ensure that the functionality stays on par with the client's expectations. Architectural/technical support is provided to the position in the form of a contractor/original developer and access to a Microsoft Dev box environment. The project involves an existing Android application that allows for data entry and reporting/alerting infrastructure to trigger workflows based on the collected data.
