Software Developer II

Lynxspring, Inc. is seeking a successful candidate to join our Cloud Technologies Group as a Software Developer II. The candidate will be directed into various development projects including supporting Connexxion, our platform, and projects of existing customers.

Connexxion is based on providing tools related to the fields of Building Automation Systems and Energy analytics. Analytics based around these fields continues to be an emerging science that challenges developers to keep pace with the needs of the industry. Your development work will cover various disciplines from API integrations to Database Administration, and some front-end ReactJS work. Developers need to be able to work independently and collaborate with a small team when needed. The ability to apply good development practices across multiple languages is preferred.

Development skills:

Proficient with at least one language from the following (preferably more than one):

- Python, GoLang, Java, Javascript, C#

Experience integrating applications with various APIs and protocols

Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra

Experience and/or familiarity with Linux server administration

Understand the importance of documenting your development work

Good with mathematics

Soft skills:

Able to stay motivated without micromanagement (Remote work is possible)

Likes the idea of doing a bit of everything and taking ownership

Excellent communication, diplomacy, and collaboration skills

Professional integrity – attention to detail, problem-solving

Ability to stay focused on completing tasks with a deadline

Not afraid of the challenge; this position will have a learning curve

The exceptional candidate can also demonstrate experience with:

MQTT

Web server technology, especially Apache and NGINX

AWS

SkySpark (a data analytics tool) and Axon

Version control systems such as Git

Niagara

HVAC Building Automation Systems

Familiar with ReactJS/Vite

AI/Machine learning

Education and Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience as a Software Developer

Exceptional candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or commensurate experience
