Job Description
Your opportunity
The Infrastructure Automation Engineer you will be responsible for implementing unique and creative infrastructure, workflow, and process automations designed to support our internal infrastructure and business partners. You’ll gain practical real-world experience while developing the problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills all of which are critical assets necessary to be successful as a Software Engineer in todays market.
- Work as a member of a highly collaborative Software Engineering team..
- Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with various teams in IOC to understand unique business requirements.
- Design and develop API’s to enable system integrations
- Code custom solutions in Microsoft .NET technologies and modern scripting languages.
- Demonstrate the software you develop to other team members and leadership.
- Design following best practices for API Documentation, logging, monitoring, and back-end integrations.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of data sources, and to discuss design and results with non-technical colleagues.
- Work closely with business partners and internal customers to coordinate medium/large deployments.
What you have
Required:
- Must have Schwab Technology Domain experience gained as a Schwab Contractor for at least 18 months
- 1-3 years Software Development experience in 1 or more higher level software development language (e.g. Java, C#, etc)
- 1-3 years operational support of an Infrastructure Platform
- Demonstrated ability to work alone or in a group while multi-tasking on different projects
- Develop software in an Agile development environment
- Implement advanced software patterns
- Implement software solutions utilizing software development patterns
- Experience with enterprise-grade software development tools and methodologies
