Senior .NET Developer (Remote)

Growing tech consulting firm based in Chicago is seeking a Senior .NET Developer (either backend or Fullstack). In this role, you'll collaborate with an experienced team and make an immediate impact. In this role, you’ll work on critical back-end services that integrate with multiple systems. This is a fully remote, long term contract position with potential to convert to full-time if desired. In this role, you will collaborate with a highly skilled team of architects, lead developers, SREs, and QAs. The project is already underway and offers the chance to expand your experience across various technologies in a microservices architecture. You’ll be directly interfacing with clients, ensuring a high level of engagement and impact on project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services using .NET Core and C# within a microservices architecture.
• Implement and optimize Azure services, with a focus on Azure Functions, to build scalable cloud solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, lead developers, and QAs, to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance, ensuring project alignment and success.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and additional meetings to synchronize project objectives and timelines.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Azure, particularly with Azure Functions.
• Expertise in back-end or full-stack development, with a solid command of .NET Core and C#.
• Experience in building and maintaining cloud-based solutions within a microservices architecture.
• 5-7 years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on cloud environments and enterprise-level applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Azure Functions with Private Endpoints, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, SQL Server, Azure API Manager, Azure Front Door, and Azure App Services.
