Atlas is looking for a bright, dynamic, strategic thinker, with strong analytical skills and work ethic to join our team. Based in Stamford, CT, the successful candidate will be a key member of our finance team. The candidate will collaborate with the CFO to provide effective, strategic, tactical, and operational insights that are key for informed decision making. You will leverage your expertise in private equity finance, accounting, and data visualization to develop meaningful and insightful information. The Financial Accounting Business Intelligence Leader will be responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing our financial accounting and business intelligence systems. This role requires extensive experience in financial accounting, and expertise in business intelligence tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to improve financial reporting, data analysis, and decision-making processes across the organization.



Working with managing partners, operating partners, and principles to understand their business needs and requirements.

Lead the financial accounting business intelligence practice, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

Develop and implement a strategic vision for financial accounting and business intelligence systems.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align BI initiatives with business goals and objectives.


Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of financial reports and dashboards.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.

Perform complex financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Managing the development lifecycle from requirements gathering, dashboard creation, and operations.


Develop and maintain business intelligence tools, including data warehouses, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the financial accounting function.

Managing a team of developers to create and maintain Business Intelligence stack.

Lead the implementation of new BI technologies and platforms.


Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and consistency.

Monitor and manage data integration processes to ensure timely and accurate data flow.

Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure robust data infrastructure and security.


Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and financial reporting systems.


Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial accounting, business intelligence, or related roles.

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards.

Strong private equity business and accounting experience.

Experience with creating and working with data warehouses.

Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

Working database skills, including writing complex SQLs and reading view and analyzing stored procedures.

Working understanding of Microsoft Data Warehouse tool including Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Database, DAX queries, PowerBI and PowerBI Reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Strong data visualization skills that turn data into insights.
