Position: Retail Operations - Retail IT Manager

Reports to: Director - Retail Operations

Job Description:

The Retail IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the stability and efficiency of IT systems across all ASSI Plaza retail stores. This role involves overseeing the maintenance of IT systems and network environments, managing POS systems, implementing IT improvements, and leading a team to support and optimize all IT hardware and software.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Maintain the stability and functionality of IT systems and network environments for ASSI Plaza retail stores.
  • Develop, configure, support, and optimize all new and existing network hardware, software, and IT equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the management of point-of-sale systems, ensuring their proper functioning and efficiency in retail operations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in IT systems and processes and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of existing IT systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and insights on IT needs and pain points.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to address identified gaps and optimize IT systems and processes.
  • Utilize industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness in retail IT operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of improvement initiatives and track progress over time.
  • Manage the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Lead and organize a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.

Educational and experience requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in retail IT management, demonstrating a track record of successful leadership and project management.
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification preferred.
  • Engineer Information Processing certification or relevant certifications in IT management preferred.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VB, C#, and MVC.
  • Experience with MS SQL and MySQL databases, including database administration and management.
  • Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, Java, and ASP.NET.
  • Fluent in English and Korean
  • Ability to work overtime and long-term business trip - Percentage of travel – up to 90% (depend on project or emergency situation)
