Job Description

OnPar Technologies is a leading partner in the Microsoft Azure and O365 Space. Due to continued growth, we require a cloud engineer with specialist knowledge in O365 to join our team.

This person will provide frontline service and support with excellent problem solving and communication skills. Success in this role requires a well-rounded individual with enthusiasm for technology and an interest in helping people. Must have the ability to support both the human and technical sides of technology.

95% of this work is performed remotely with occasional onsite at customer location within local area.

Job Responsibilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Application Suite, Outlook, web-based applications, etc.

Familiarity with data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity principals, issues, and solutions.

Familiarity of a range of diagnostic utilities, including various Remote Management / Monitoring (RMM) applications, Experience with ConnectWise Manage/Automate (Labtech) a plus.

Demonstrated success providing support and problem resolution with unfamiliar systems, software, and hardware.

Ability to communicate, and present ideas written and verbally in user-friendly language to both technical and non-technical clients and staff as needed.

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to evaluate and manage changes, understanding their impact to systems, business and users; Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.

Work Service Requests as assigned according to company workflow procedures and SLA’s (highest to lowest priority; oldest to newest).

Provide customer service via phone, in person and through our remote access tools for issues related to cloud services, network, laptop, desktop and server software, hardware and peripherals.

Work within our ticketing system to create detailed work logs and technical documentation.

Work with the Service Manager to develop and schedule a training and certification path.

Must have adequate equipment to perform job at maximum efficiency.

Must be able to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills.

Must be detail-oriented with a strong work ethic focused on providing a positive customer experience.

Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented.

Network Engineer Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience supporting the O365 suite of products
  • Experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
  • Network proficiency
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Time-management skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • LAN knowledge
  • Network hardware configuration
  • Network performance tuning
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) a plus
  • Exchange Online and Endpoint Manager (InTune) experience preferred
  • Azure experience
  • Firewall/switching configuration
  • Two plus years’ experience in network administration
  • A graduate and voluntary certification in Microsoft is a plus
  • BA in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) a plus'
