Our company, a prominent leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Application Security Engineer to join our team. This position will play a pivotal role in maintaining the security of our software applications and ensuring our systems are protected against potential threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, developing security measures, and working collaboratively with our software development team to integrate these measures into our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS, SDLC, OWASP, application security, SRE, DecSecOps, application programming, coding scanning tools, Checkmarx, SAST/DAST, command line Linux, Azure, Azure cloud environment, and software deployment.

  • Identify potential vulnerabilities in our software applications and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Work closely with our software development team to integrate security measures into our applications.
  • Conduct regular security audits and provide detailed reports on our system's security status.
  • Use coding scanning tools such as Checkmarx and SAST/DAST to identify potential threats.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest security trends and potential threats in the industry.
  • Provide training and support to other team members on application security best practices.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure our software applications are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Implement and manage security measures in our Azure cloud environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application security, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS, SDLC, OWASP, application security, SRE, DecSecOps, and application programming.
  • Proficiency in using coding scanning tools like Checkmarx and SAST/DAST.
  • Solid understanding of command line Linux, Azure, and Azure cloud environment.
  • Experience in software deployment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • CISSP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
