We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The Power Platform is a strategic new growth area for Microsoft, but more importantly, it is a disrupting technology. The Power Automate team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who:
  • Enjoys building modern tools and systems to enable AI Copilot driven experiences.
  • Design, develop and deliver high-impact features across the entire software lifecycle.
  • Collaborate within the team and with partner teams to deliver end-to-end systems and experiences.
  • Ensure software fundamentals of availability, latency, scalability requirements are met in the system.
  • Investigate and prototype features with new technologies and frameworks.
  • Deliver features in agile and fast-paced environment with high quality.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in building and shipping production grade software or services.
  • 4+ years of experience with an Object Oriented language (e.g., C++, C# or Java) and/or React/JavaScript/TypeScript, Database (Azure Storage), Azure Development stack and AI technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in hands-on coding and architecting of a cloud-based service.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with object-oriented language such as C++, C# or Java
  • Experience with TypeScript, front-end technologies like Redux/React and React Native
  • Experience building scalable applications and services with Azure or other scalable cloud platforms with robust performance, resiliency, telemetry, and security
  • Software engineering fundamentals across all phases of software development lifecycle
  • Commited to improving engineering practices and producing high-quality software
  • Self-motivated and customer focused.
  • Collaboration skills with the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
