Ready At Dawn is looking for talented and passionate Unreal Engine Programmer to join us in creating high profile original AAA titles.Unreal Engine Programmers are responsible for continued development of the Unreal Engine, including core engine components, content pipelines, graphics, and optimization. Unreal Engine Programmers are expected to partner with other engineering groups and content teams to help build systems to optimize existing and new functionality in the Unreal Engine.

Engine Programmer - Ready At Dawn Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and extend the content processing pipeline for our custom Unreal pipelines
  • Collaborate with other members of the tools and engine teams to implement new engine features and development tools
  • Take a leading role in integrating Ready at Dawn's development pipeline with Facebook's internal infrastructure
  • Research and develop future improvements to the content processing and compilation pipelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven C/C++ skills
  • 2+ years of game development or professional shipped game
  • Knowledge of compiler toolchains and build systems
  • Professional experience working with Unreal
  • Experience collaborating with engineers across multiple teams on new features
  • Experience working independently and to be self-directed
  • Effective communication skills
  • Familiar with game asset pipelines
  • Experienced with 3D Math

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shipped AAA title
  • Experience with the Python programming language
  • Experience with the C# programming language
  • Experience working on content processing pipelines for game engines
  • Experience working with distributed computing platforms
  • Experience with optimizing network and file I/O performance
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration tooling
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
