Analytics Intern

This Analytics Intern position presents exciting opportunities for the right candidate! This position will perform analysis in an evolving data environment.  In addition to technical skills, this position will have excellent business process analysis and interpersonal skills.  The ability to extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends is needed, with the subsequent ability to synthesize the data into information consumable by business decision-makers. Responsibilities Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation Focus on solutions, dive into projects, and quickly identify drivers in the data Identify relevant trends, to do follow-up analysis, prepare reports Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools for business purposes (SQL SSAS, SAS,Qlikview, Tableau,SpotFire Tibco, OLAP, Cognos, Business objects) Database Technologies: Oracle, SQL Server Ability to write SQL and understand entity relationship diagrams (queries and analysis) Data analysis, mock-up reports, querying data Programming, implementation, testing and documentation of an application which may include programming of one or more parts of the system.  This would include advanced programming of databases, user interfaces, and external system interfaces. Qualifications Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Database Administration 0-3 years’ experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases (preferred) Proficiency in systems design, documentation, training, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork Background in PLC & HMI programming, industrial networking, and control system architecture is a plus Ability to travel for meetings and system implementation  Preferred Skills: Good communication (verbal, written, listening) and teamwork skills Knowledge of, or interest in, manufacturing, industrial, and electrical systems Ability to work on a team Travel: Travel may be required up to 10%.
