Job Description
We are helping a law firm hire full time Senior Server Operation Engineers for their Chicago office. This will be mostly a remote role with one day onsite per week in the heart of Chicago.
As a valued member of the Server Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the law firm's server infrastructure, both on-premises and in the Azure cloud environment. Key responsibilities include. This role requires a profound understanding of Microsoft technologies and security protocols, as well as expertise in Nutanix hardware, Acropolis, and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V hypervisors. Required Skills Experience
  • Proficient in addressing security audit findings and mitigating vulnerabilities.
  • Skilled in engineering and overseeing Azure landing zones operations.
  • Capable of coordinating and strategizing project implementations.
  • Experienced in establishing server operations policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Proficient in configuring and supporting Linux and Windows Operating Systems, including CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, and RHEL.
  • Possesses extensive expertise in Active Directory management.
  • Familiar with VMWare, Hyper-V, and Nutanix technologies.
  • Demonstrates architecture and design proficiency.
  • Skilled in conducting analysis and delivering comprehensive reports and presentations.
  • Provides advanced administrative support, including Level 3 technical assistance beyond IT Service desk duties.
  • Competent in executing data center rack setups and ensuring proper power, networking, and labeling.
  • Experienced in teaching and mentoring technical staff.
  • Capable of building and maintaining container-based technologies such as Docker, K8S, and Rancher.
  • Familiarity with Cisco USC Hardware, Cisco USC Manager, and CIMC.
  • Knowledgeable about SCCM and SCOM.
  • Skilled in automating processes using PowerShell and Bash scripting.
  • Well-versed in networking policies, including load balancing.
  • Familiarity with the Turbonomic Virtualization Platform Tool.
Desired Skills Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • 3+ years supporting Windows, VMware, Linux, Hyper-V, and Azure Environments
  • Must have a BA/BS in computer science or related field.
  • Maintains positive and supportive relationships.
