Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Applications Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in the scientific industry. This is a permanent position that offers an incredible opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our business applications, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.


1. Provide technical support for business applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Utilize Jira for issue tracking and resolution, ensuring all issues are properly documented and escalated as necessary.
3. Develop and maintain C# and ASP.NET applications, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and are up to date with the latest technologies and best practices.
4. Utilize SQL for database management, including querying, reporting, and data manipulation.
5. Work with Azure for cloud computing services, including development, deployment, and management of applications.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to business applications and processes.
7. Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively use business applications.
8. Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in application support, continuously seeking ways to improve our systems and processes.


1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an application support role in the scientific industry.
3. Proficiency in Jira, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and Azure.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
8. A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement improvements to business applications and processes.
9. A team player, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
10. A passion for technology and a desire to stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
