Senior Data Engineer with ETL Tableau

Rate Range:$65-$70/hr on C2C without Benefits
Salary: $130K/annum + benefits
- As a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on ETL and Tableau, you will play a pivotal role in managing, transforming, and visualizing data to support data-driven decision-making and reporting within the organization.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, quality, and accessibility of data for business intelligence and analytics.

- ETL Development:Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and data quality.
- Data Integration:Collaborate with data architects and data scientists to integrate data from different sources and ensure data consistency and accuracy.Implement data validation and error handling within ETL processes.
- Data Modeling:Create and maintain data models that support reporting and analysis using tools like Tableau.Ensure data structures are efficient and conducive to business needs.
- Data Warehousing:Manage data warehouse systems, ensuring they are properly maintained, scalable, and secure.Implement best practices for data warehouse architecture and administration.
- Tableau Development:Develop Tableau dashboards and reports to provide meaningful insights and data visualizations to end-users.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and dashboard requirements.
- Data Quality and Governance:Implement data quality checks and data governance practices to ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.Develop and enforce data quality standards and policies.
- Performance Optimization:Monitor and optimize the performance of ETL processes and Tableau reports to meet business requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues as they arise.
- Documentation:Maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and Tableau reports.Create and update technical documentation for colleagues and end-users.
- Team Collaboration:Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver solutions.Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ETL development, data warehousing, and Tableau development.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Talend, Informatica).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts and data warehousing technologies.
- Expertise in data visualization and reporting using Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Programming skills in languages like Python or Java are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of best practices in data governance and data security.
