Position Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer is the lead engineer of the DevOps program. They are responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing high complexity software development. They will work on the full lifecycle of development: build, deployment, testing, and release of automated pipelines and processes.

Deliverables and Performance Measures:

  • Identifies, assesses, and solves complex technical problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and applies various tool and automation solutions to drive frequent and quality solutions for an enterprise SaaS platform.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple disciplines to deliver aligned solutions meeting multiple complex needs that ultimately delivers a world-class experience to the ecosystem Insurance Technologies serves.
  • Designs all aspects of Continuous Delivery implementation on Hexure systems build or application support projects.
  • Works with developers and management to develop plans and implement delivery pipelines. Designs, documents, automates and supports CI/CD pipelines promoting code across RD and operationally critical environments.
  • Maintains run books and operations supporting the provisioning, deprecation, and 24x7 operations of the Hexure SaaS platform. Coordinates with various teams including SOC to ensure platform is highly available and secure.
  • Develops and operates infrastructure as code, monitoring, and logging.
  • Work with cybersecurity to ensure secure practices and policies are woven into every aspect of operations.
  • Supports the development of high-quality software through automation that enables development and quality teams.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Contributes to DevOps practice development including asset creation, and enterprise strategy.

What will make you successful:

  • 5+ years of experience managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions and patterns.
  • 5+ years of experience managing code repositories, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployments.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure Administration including core PaaS services.
  • 3+ years of experience building and managing Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions
  • 3+ years of experience with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting tools including Powershell.
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server/IIS/SQL Server/.NET technology stack.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL or Azure SQL
  • Certifications Preferred: Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator, or Azure Developer

Expected hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with regular office hours Monday through Friday. This position may work with the India office a few days a week and will require an earlier start to the day around 6:30MT. This position may require after work hours and occasional weekends, depending on work demands.
