Spark and PostgresqlHello,
Thank you for your work. Have you already worked on an adaptation of Spark for Postgresql ? Have a nice day. Best regards, Bertrand Chagny Bertrand Chagny, Oct 29, 2015

Reply 1Hello Jack,
Our idea is that Spark is a brilliant technology and will shine with Postgres. If it's technically feasible, our company is decided to finance the port of Spark for Postgres. Besides that, if others companies are interested by the port of Spark (for Postgres), we are, of course, open to share the cost of the development From a marketing point of view, it seems like a good idea : "Approximately half of commercial RDBMS users are expected to migrate to open source by 2018." http://marketrealist.com/2015/07/open-source-databases-set-overtake-commercial-databases/ Thank you. Reply 2Hi Bertrand:
The SPARK platform is optimized for SQL Server. We focus on Microsoft technologies which includes SQL Server. If we were to support multiple back-ends then next in line would be ORACLE and MySQL. A port to PostgreSQL, although possible, will be used by relatively few developers I would think.. Thanks, Jack Jack Poorte, Nov 04, 2015
