Having dedicated hosting and service layer for each module

Hi,

I would like to ask if the performance would improve if I create a separate hosting and service layer for each module of the system rather than just having different service contract. e.g. CRM module, repairs module, Income management, etc. would have each its own dedicated service and hosting layer. What is the advantages and disadvantages of it?
