Windows 8 / WP8 Development - Cross Platform Development

As you know, nowadays the mobile development is quite popular in .net.

Is there any plan to enhance .Net design patterns for Windows 8 / WP8 development, especially in cross platform development way using MVVM and Portable Class Library ( + Azure Web Services / Rest Services) ???
