Question: Architecture Vs Design Patterns

Is their any difference between Software Architecture and Software Design Patterns?
Furthermore, is the book titled: "Software Architecture in Practice" suitable for teaching Software Design Patterns?

Hi,

in my opinion Software Architecture can be understood either as a field/discipline or an actual way, how the system is designed.

Design Patterns are your tools / methods, well known and proven processes, which help you to design the system such way that it will meet all the requirements (scalability, reliability, security etc)

Name of the book suggests it should be about patterns :)

Best regards,
Robert
